  • James Shephard
    James Shephard

    Jim Shephard is an investor, director and trustee, and educator. He is a Founder and the Chairman of Nulia, Inc. with a focus on raising capital, international growth and corporate governance and is on the boards of ComputeNext, Inc. and Red Duck Foods, Inc. He is also a Courtesy Professor of Law at the University of Oregon’s Clark Honors College. He has global business experience and was formerly an international corporate finance lawyer with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York and Paris, and served in senior management roles in the financial services industry, including as CEO of Banque AIG, a French bank, and CEO of AIG Asset Management (Europe) Ltd, a UK regulated asset management company. He is involved in volunteer and philanthropic activities as a Trustee of the University of Oregon Foundation, where he served as Chair from 2016-2018, and as a member of the Advisory Council of the Clark Honors College. He graduated from the University of Oregon’s Clark Honors College where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also obtained graduate degrees (Maîtrise and DEA) with high distinction (mention très bien) from the University of Poitiers (France) and a law degree with distinction (Magna Cum Laude) from Tulane University. He was twice a Fulbright Scholar and has published articles on the history of law and commerce.

    Augusto Piazza, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ComputeNext brings over two decades of experience in the financial services field having held executive positions in leading investment banks in Asia and in Europe. At ComputeNext, he leads all of the enterprise finance and operational activities. An avid number-cruncher and a business analyst and catalyst, Augusto brings a unique vision to ComputeNext’s financing, accounting, and business operations. Augusto graduated in law from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

    Ben Gill

    Ben Gill is an advisor to and investor in high growth companies. He was previously an investment banker, finishing his career at Morgan Stanley, where he ran Global Structured Products and was a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Management Committee. In 2009 he left Morgan Stanley to establish Chimera Partners, a London based boutique focused on the venture capital space. He is on the boards of ComputeNext, Inc., Fuel 3D Technologies Ltd and MobileReport Ltd. Ben is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

    Knut Feldmann

    Knut Feldmann has 30 years of experience in the offshore construction industry. He worked with Contracting and Oil Companies such as Heerema, Subsea 7, ConocoPhillips and Aker BP in Project Management, Operational Management and Strategy Development roles. Over the last 8 years he has also been in advisory roles to investments firms and corporations in M&A processes. He holds a Master of Science degree in Offshore Development from the Technical University in Delft.Appointed as Director in April 2018.Knut Feldmann is a Dutch citizen living in Norway.

    Gus Sekhon

    Gus is a consultant to small businesses in the application of technology and behavioural science. He recently co-founded a start-up accelerator, is working on a project to create not-for-profit index tracking funds, and is also an occasional investor.Gus was previously in investment banking, most recently as head of European inflation at RBS (until 2016).He studied at Bristol and City University, completing an MSc in Behavioural Economics at City in 2017.
